Ocotillo Primary Care is now offering Telehealth services to our community.
We are using Telehealth to provide necessary care to our patients from the comfort of their homes. While we know telemedicine doesn’t replace every visit, the technology is an excellent tool for selected new and established patients for routine care. Telehealth services are now covered by Medicare, Medicaid (AHCCCS), and most commercial insurances due to the COVID-19 outbreak.
Many medical conditions can be assessed through an initial telehealth visit. These symptoms and conditions include:
- Diabetes mellitus diagnosis
- Blood pressure management
- Cholesterol check and management
- STD labs
- Medication refills
- Chickenpox (varicella-zoster virus)
- Conjunctivitis (“pink eye”)
- Common cold, flu, and allergy symptoms
- Constipation or diarrhea
- Coughing
- Fever
- Headaches, including migraine
- Heartburn and gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD)
- Painful urination
- Sinus pain and pressure
- Sore throat
- Canker sores, cold sores, and other mouth lesions
